Death Note Given the Boot on [a s]

Posted by garnetfenghuang on August 9, 2008

[adult swim] has pushed back BLEACH and Code Geass yet again and has completely removed Death Note from their listings from what I can tell. Death Note is still, however, listed in their “shows” subsection of their official website. Their new Saturday night lineup is:

  • 11:00pm Metalocalypse
  • 11:30pm Venture Brothers
  • 12:00am Shin-chan
  • 12:30am BLEACH
  • 1:00am Code Geass
  • 1:30am Cowboy Bebop
  • 2:00am–>repeat episodes
  • 5:00am Inuyasha
  • 5:30am Inuyasha

Also, next Saturday (16th) BLEACH, Code Geass, and Cowboy Bebop will not even air (according to the official site – scroll to the bottom and check the listings) and will instead be replaced by an Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie.

Now, this all hurts me very, very much, but, I’ll take it standing up like a man.  Besides, there’s always the DVDs, right?  Heh, heh…sigh…

I feel your pain. I was so pissed at how they’ve done us anime fans all this year, and I reached my boiling point this weekend.

They push that comedy crap on us 7 nights week, it all ges exponentially dumber, but we can’t have 1 night for anime?

And ATHF movie is the worst movie ever. Now I just go to adultswim naords and troll the dumb comedy fans, then I watch anime on sci-fi and online.

forget adult swim they only cater to autistic kids noww.

I agree. While eventually Death Note would’ve been taken off the air since it finished it’s run, the fact that is was done so soon and replaced with this not very funny “comedy” is what really got to me.

I tried watching it (the “comedy” shows) but I almost fell asleep – I had to change the channels or I’d fall asleep and miss what little anime they had left.

  3. [...] But was it worth waiting one extra week for?  Probably, probably not (considering what it was replaced with) but we’ll just have to wait and see.  Look forward to it on Saturday the [...]
