Another Birthday, This Time to a Magazine

Yen Press, the lovely company that picked up my beloved Moon Boy and Nabari no Ou, is also picking up another favorite of mine: Black Butler. And they will be celebrating this in their August volume of Yen Plus, when Y+ will be celebrating their own 1 Year Birthday.

The mystery back cover of Yen Plus, which will obviously be of Black Butler
I always called this series “Black Butler,” even when it was Japan-only (it’s Japanese name, “Kuro shitsuji,” is really tough for me to say–why don’t you try saying it 5 times fast?). Yen Press is thankfully picking it up with its translated name.
Maximum Ride will be on the other cover of the magazine, and the magazine will also feature a pull-out Maximum Ride poster. Black Butler hasn’t shown up on Yen Press’s website but they have confirmed that they picked up the title.
I usually don’t buy magna magazines, due to the fact that if I read them I don’t want to buy the tankobon (and trust me, I REALLY want to buy the tankobon), but I can make an exception this time. I just bought a plethora of Black Butler goods a few days back and this news is really hyping me up.
The manga is about the young head of the Phantomhive Manor, Ciel, and his butler, Sebastian, who also happens to be a devil. (would you believe me if I said that when I was young I always wanted a butler named Sebastian? ‘Cause it’s true @-@)
